The Benefits Of Having Your Own Business

I think most of us know the general benefits of having your own business.

But I want you to take note of two things that sets your own business from working from someone else:

  1. Scalable income

  2. Flexibility

If you work for someone else, there is a certain income ceiling no matter how good you are. The other thing is you are stuck to a fixed time.

Other benefits of having your own SUCCESSFUL business include:

  • a better financial future

  • unlimited earning potential

  • freedom to travel whenever you want

  • more time for your family and children

  • having not to worry about being fired

  • having not to worry about paying for daily necessities

  • be a gamechanger in society

  • be a great influence to your community and the people around you

  • able to benefit society by donating to the needy

man in despair as his business fails

50% of businesses will fail within 5 years. Here you will learn how to be the other half that will survive

Notice I capitalized the word "successful". All the above will come true if only you have a successful business. The hard truth is businesses are not easy to run.

According to the  U.S Bureau Of Labor Statistics about 23% of businesses fail in the 1st year. By the end of the 5th year about 50% of businesses will fail. That is in the United States that takes details. In Malaysia, about 60% of SMEs fail by the end of the 5th year.

3 Important Things To Build A Great Business Worth Millions / Billions

It is definitely not easy to come up with a great business that stands the test of time.

Thankfully we can take a look at some of the greatest businesses in the world and learn from them.

All great businesses have 3 important things. They are:

  1. It starts with a great idea

  2. The company makes great products

  3. The products serve a lot of people (think millions)

If you can satisfy these 3 criteria, you will have a multibillion dollar business.

#1 It All Starts With A Great Idea

Have you ever watch a documentary about a billionaire and how they become so rich?

They will often say they stumbled upon that idea which turned into a billion dollar company.

Ideas start in the mind.

For example Melanie Perkins the founder of Canva created Canva because she found that it was difficult for many people to come up with designs of their own. Either you need special skills to design something or you need to hire someone to do it.

That was how Canva was born.

This app and website allows people who have no technical skills to create their own beautiful thumbnails, videos, pamphlets... you name it... whatever you want you can easily create it yourself through drag and drop technology.

This simple idea made Melanie Perkins a billionaire.

According to Forbes she is worth $4.4 Billion USD in 2024.

While not all of us can be a billionaire, a common similarity with all successful business is they are born out of a great idea.

So if you want to start a successful business of your own you need to ask yourself:

  • What idea do I have that can change the world?

  • What idea do I have that can make things easier for other people?

  • What idea do I have that can supply the needs of people?

  • What idea do I have that can solve other people's problems?

#2 You Have To Come Up With A Great Product

We all know what a great product is. People like them and buy them. If something is bought by many people and continue to be bought every month or every year, then it is a great product.

Take a look at some of the products that are being bought up by consumers and you will know what is a great product.

Some examples are:

  • Iphone and Ipad

  • Mercedez Benz cars

  • Coca Cola

  • Dyson vacuums

  • Dyson hairdryers

  • Sambal Nyet

A great product does not mean they are expensive. Looking at the short list above, you can see that a Mercedez Benz car can cost 600,000 times more than a can of coca cola.

Price is not the issue. It is something else.

But what does it really mean to come up with a great product?

  • The product is of high quality

  • The product is priced in an affordable way for the mass market (coca-cola)

  • The product solves a problem (Dyson vacuums)

  • The product can last a long time without getting spoilt easily (Dyson hairdryers)

  • The product is addictive (Iphone)

  • The product gives a status symbol (Mercedez Benz)

  • The product is great to enjoy (Sambal Nyet)

There is no definite answer to what makes a great product.

Look at what is selling in the market and try and figure out what makes them sell and you will get a huge load of ideas on what makes a product great.

Ask yourself every day "How can I come out with a great product that people will love and continue to find useful and buy every day"

If you can ask this question and answer it well your battle is half done.

#3 The Product Must Serve A Lot Of People

What we are really talking about is scalability.

If you have a great product but you can only sell to 10 people every month, then that might not be a great idea and product.

That is unless your item cost RM 10,000 and above then selling to 10 people a month makes sense.

If you are going that route then at least make sure you can sell to 100 people each month. That way your sales will be above RM 1 Million a month.

But for the majority of businesses, you might not be able to price your product at a very high price. Most likely your products will be anywhere from RM 10 to RM 3000.

  • A good example of making money with low cost products while serving lots of people are the many RM 2 shops that have sprung up all over the country. Even though each item is RM 2, they can still make a lot of money because of volume.

  • McDonalds does not cost as much as fine dining but they target the affordable market. Each day they have hundreds if not thousands of customers buying their burgers. Multiply that with the hundreds and thousand of branches they have in each country

  • Apple sells expensive phones that cost RM 3000 -RM 7000. Although it is expensive their products are so good and everyone needs a smart phone.

Work 3 Years To Build Your Business Or Work 30 Years For Others?

So the important question for you now is whether you want to be your own boss or work for someone else.

While starting a business may not be for everyone, we do acknowledge that it is better to work 3 years to build up something for yourself rather than work 30 years for others.

Entrepreneurship is not an easy journey.

The journey is hard at first but eventually when it pays off you get to enjoy a lot of flexibility.

  • Starting a business is difficult.

  • Working for someone else is difficult

If both are difficult why not choose the path that has unlimited earnings potential.

Are You Ready To Start A New Business?

After reading this far, you need to ask yourself.

Are you ready to start a new business?

It will not be easy but on this site you will find plenty of resources to help you start a thriving business with small capital. Our goal is not to start something that is not achievable by most people.

If you have $1000 or $2000 or $5000, that is enough to start your business. We are not looking to start a business that requires $50,000 or $1 Million. That is out of the range for most people.

In the olden days, there are people who are able to start a giant business with only $500. Today, with the help of the internet and technology, it bridges the gap even more. You can start a business with almost nothing.

There are 3 steps that I offer on this website:

3. Be A Partner With Me And Build A Business Together Through A Time Tested Multi Billion Dollar Company

This path is suitable if you:

  • Do not have a product to offer

  • Want to partner with a reputable public listed company, that have a sales of $USD 8.5 Billion and have a history of 64 years in business

  • Want to have great products to deal with

  • Want to start a business from your home

  • Want to start a business with low capital

  • Want to start a business with no risk

  • Want to build a passive income

  • Want to have a monthly recurring income

Success truly belongs to people who take action. 10 years down the road you don't want to look back and wish that you had done it. You want to look back and say that you were glad that you took the opportunity and did something with your life.
